TrueRecord provides transcription services. We take the confidentiality of legal recordings seriously. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect and how we handle it. It will be expanded as the service matures.
What we collect
- Recordings you upload: the audio you submit for transcription, whether via the website sample tool or as part of a paid job.
- Contact details: your name, email, and firm or chambers, when you request a quote, unlock a sample, or engage us.
- Basic usage data: standard, aggregated website analytics. We do not place personal information in URLs.
How we use it
We use your recordings solely to produce your transcript, and your contact details solely to respond to you and deliver the service. We do not sell your information.
Retention and deletion
Uploaded audio is deleted within 30 days, or sooner on request. You can ask us to delete your recordings and transcripts at any time by emailing us.
We do not train on your data
We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train artificial-intelligence models.
Security
Recordings are processed and stored using enterprise-grade infrastructure with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who and what can access your files, and we delete them on the schedule above.
Sample tool
The "try a sample" tool on our homepage is for demonstration. Transcripts it produces are AI drafts, are not certified records, and the audio is subject to the same deletion policy above.
